Hello again fellow gamers and devs!
Was a pretty long week back at work so didn't get as much done this week as I would have liked so only got some done on the Probe improvements update. I did, however, fix the music in Probe to not start over/skip songs when you retry a level. Now the music just keeps playing through it's playlist (this will go live with all the other fixes in next update). As for the fullscreen/windowed options I ran into some issues with the engine I used and am still trying to figure out a work around for it if possible.
I also began work on making the menu system in the levels to make it flow better during gameplay for anyone using a gamepad/keyboard only setup. Was going to have it setup where you can navigate the menu using movement keys and select with the fire button but then ran into the issue of trying to make that work when the retry and home buttons appear between launching probes so going to have to take a different approach. Going to try creating a hot key for retry, home and next level buttons that isn't used in each control configuration so it's just hit one button to retry/quit/continue. That way you don't have to switch back to the mouse to navigate the menu or use the gamepad joysticks to move the mouse every time you lose a probe/lose/win. I'll also include the button prompts with images on the in game menu so you know which button to press for each menu item. That's all I got for this week but hopefully will have this final quality improvement update ready to go live within the next week.
